From a single comms room to a colocation hall, the requirements differ in scale — not in kind.
Almost every building we secure has one room that matters more than the rest: the MDF, the comms room, the server room, the on-site data hall. It holds the systems the business cannot trade without, and it is very often the least-protected door on site. Bravis Security designs, installs and maintains the access control and CCTV that closes that gap.
Data halls, server rooms and comms rooms
The work we do most — and the work most security providers treat as an afterthought.
Enterprise data rooms are live environments. Nothing can be taken offline to suit an installation programme, which means staged cutovers, working alongside operating equipment, and migrating one side of a room while the other stays in service. We do this work regularly, and we plan for it from the design stage.
What that typically looks like: multi-factor credentialing at the room entry, camera coverage across the aisle and the cabinet face rather than just the doorway, electronic rack-level locking so access is controlled and logged down to the individual cabinet, and reporting that produces a defensible audit trail rather than a log nobody can read.
Colocation and campus-scale facilities
Queensland’s data centre pipeline is growing quickly, and the physical security specification is not a negotiable line item.
For larger facilities we design layered architectures: perimeter intrusion detection, anti-tailgating and airlock control at the boundary between zones, biometric two-factor authentication at the data hall, high-resolution CCTV with retention periods that survive an audit, and integration with building management and site systems where required.
These are deployed on platforms specifiers already trust — Gallagher, Inner Range Integriti, Avigilon, Milestone, Axis and SALTO — and mapped to the physical controls in ISO 27001 Annex A where a client’s certification depends on it. We work to AS/NZS standards and hold GITC accreditation for Queensland government and regulated-sector work.
Our highest-consequence delivery to date is Private Vaults Australia: Integriti access control, Milestone VMS, two-factor facial recognition and seismic detection across a vault and bullion facility. Different building, identical discipline.
Upgrades and takeovers without the downtime
Most data centre security work is replacing something that is already running.
We take over existing systems, migrate them in stages, and retain infrastructure that is still sound rather than ripping out cabling for the sake of it. Ongoing maintenance runs under a structured SLA with defined response times.
